About this tour

Bahian cooking was born of resistance and the meeting of cultures — and the best way to understand it is by eating. In a small group, we explore Rio Vermelho, Salvador's bohemian neighbourhood.

We start with an acarajé straight from a traditional baiana's stall, move on to a moqueca bubbling in a clay pot (vegetarian option available) and finish with cocada and a tasting of Bahian cachaças for adults.
