Day Use
Out and back the same day by the semi-land route, with no open sea, a bilingual guide and a historic walk to Terceira Praia.
For those staying in Salvador who want to see Morro de São Paulo without spending the night. Transport is by the semi-land route, which does not depend on the weather and avoids the open sea — ideal if you get seasick.
There are three legs: across the Bay of All Saints to Itaparica Island (speedboat or ferry, depending on the wind), 114 km by road on the BA-001 to Bom Jardim, and a boat to Morro. On the way: views of São Marcelo Fort, the Funil Bridge and the coloured cliffs.
Arrival is around 9:30 am. The guide leads a historic walk through the village to Terceira Praia; then you are free to enjoy the beach. The return leaves at 3:30 pm, reaching Salvador in the early evening.
You don't have to stay with the guide in Morro: after the historic walk you are free on the beach until return time. The environmental fee is charged on arrival.
